...is what I want to say.

After rereading the end of my Bleach Songfic series, I remembered that I said it would be posted in early 2009. Regrettably, that has been pushed back to early 2010. The story has turned into mini-arcs, similar to that of the canon Bleach story (you know, pre-SS, SS, Arrancar, HM...), and there's going to be two mini filler arcs (which will be summer (including bathing suits) and winter).

BUT FRET NOT!

I decided that since you all have probably been waiting quite patiently for my story to start, I'll give you an itty-bitty sneak preview from chapter one:

The young teen blinked at the monster in front of her eyes. Where were her parents? Certainly, like times before, they would fight off the monster.

Unfortunately, they must not have gotten the memo.

Okay, Saya, breathe. You can use Otousan’s powers, to some extent, as well as some of Okaasan’s. You can defeat this monster. You’ve seen how your parents’ fight. Now, it’s time to fight solo. You’re fifteen, and you can handle this like nothing, the girl thought. She raised her right wrist…

…when out of the blue, a boy, dressed in a black shihakushou, drew his sword and fought the monster, slicing it easily in two. The monster dissolved, and left no trace of its defeat.

Saya blinked her blue eyes again. “A shinigami?”

The boy turned and faced her, his brown eyes meeting hers. Unfortunately, the sun was behind him, and Saya couldn’t see his face. “What are you doing here?” he asked, his voice running through her.

“I could ask you the same thing, Shinigami!” Saya shouted. The butterfly on her headband flapped its wings, and her cobalt hair moved freely in the wind.

“…Hey…have we met before?” the boy asked, coming closer.

The girl frowned, and began to run in the opposite direction, taking the slightest amount of time to pick up her bags.

The Shinigami watched the girl run, and took notice of the cross bracelet on her right wrist.

That girl! She’s… “I guess I better tell Oyaji that I met her. The girl who carries the power of her father, as well as her mother…

“Ishida Saya.”
