Like any good otaku, I spent some of my summer getting ready for college, performing in the summer musical, and watching as much anime as I could. NOT EASY, let me tell you.

So, below each cut is my view on how my summer anime viewing went. My own personal opinion, of course...

Naruto: Shippuuden is almost dead to me. The fucking "Crystal Jutsu" arc wouldn't end. "Oh, look! They defeated--GODDAMMIT WHAT DO YOU MEAN SHE'S STILL ALIVE!?!?!?!?" God, that made it hard to transition when we got back to the main storyline with Sasuke gathering his new teammates. Not to mention that since Dattebayo isn't doing it so much anymore, it's a little harder to move on. Taka is doing a pretty good job based on what I can see so far...but seriously? That arc should have ended twelve episodes sooner.

Bleach isn't doing so hot either. It started off pretty well with the war starting, the 110 year ago flashback, and back to the battles in Karakura Town. Then, just as it looked like the Ichigo and Ulquiorra fight was going to start...BOOM FILLER LOL. After three short episodes (including the appearance of a bathing suit episode...it took them long enough...only 228 episodes...), they started an actual arc where the zanpakutou rebel. NO. I WANT MY DISSOLVING ULQUIORRA X ORIHIME MOMENT DAMMIT.

I watched Kuroshitsuji. OMG ILUSEBASTIAN....

Fangirling aside, it really is good. Sebastian is DAMN HAWT, Ciel's a cutie, even if he is a serious kid, an Earl and the lapdog to the Queen...my shouta senses are tingling... X3 I think I became a Sebastian x Ciel fan...especially with the last episode. The story's good, but I think it might need a little more flushing out. I plan on looking for the manga so I can read it and see if that clears any of my questions.

I got into Hetalia. OMGHETALIA. It's become one of my new favorite shows. It's so silly, but has some great factual references (like Busby's Chair for England). Credit for checking this out: Shanny. She went cosplaying as France at AN this year, and the fans in my house got a couple episodes of it. DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW MANY VERSIONS OF "MARU KAITE CHIKYUU" THERE ARE OUT THERE!? IT'S LIKE POKEMON, GOTTA CATCH 'EM ALL!!!!

K-ON! is one that I watched in about two days. A very "MOE MOE KYUN" series about girls in the Light Music Club (called Keion in Japanese...which leads to K-on). Seriously, the girls are super cute. <3 Since K-ON is a music anime and the girls are in a band, so they sing and stuff...I'M VERY MUCH ADDICTED TO THE ENDING SONG...MIO-CHA~~~~~N...

Eden of the East...was very deep. This was the one I watched most recently, and again in two days. Movies don't come out to theaters in Japan until November, so I still have a long wait before I figure out what's going on with the "Selecao"s...

So, yeah...A hopefully eventful summer.
